A promise made on a delayed houseboat booking
Promise Valley Tours began in 2008 with a single frustrating trip — a family holiday to Kashmir where the “houseboat with a lake view” turned out to be neither. Our founder, then a first-time traveller herself, promised that no one booking through her would ever open a door to a surprise like that again.
Eighteen years on, that promise is still the operating principle: every stay on our site has been walked through in person, every itinerary is priced the way we’d want to see it priced, and every traveller gets a coordinator who’s reachable for the length of the trip — not just the booking.
What started as a two-person desk handling Kashmir and Kerala now plans journeys across 240+ destinations, domestic and international — but the way we vet a hotel room hasn’t changed at all.
